As an inspector, Dave repeatedly encountered homes where families were struggling with unexplained health issues. The cause wasn’t always obvious. It wasn’t faulty wiring or visible damage - it was mold. Too often, he saw remediation approaches that only treated the surface of the problem, leaving families stuck in a cycle of temporary fixes. And these families were suffering with many mold-related illnesses.
Determined to find a better solution, Dave expanded his expertise into asbestos abatement and environmental hazards, learning how to safely address some of the most dangerous elements found in homes. But mold became his true focus. After hearing story after story - especially involving children - he knew this wasn’t just a professional issue. It was personal.
After returning to St. Louis to raise his own family, Dave partnered with his longtime high school friend, Joe, to found Claro – Complete Mold Remediation – St. Louis. Together, they introduced advanced dry fog technology to the region, offering a way to eliminate mold at its source and help homes stay healthy long after remediation is complete.
Dave approaches every project with the same care he would want for his own family. For him, this work is about more than mold remediation, it’s about giving families peace of mind and helping create safer, healthier homes.
